Welcome to Black Stag Alchemy.

The goal is to teach, provide services, and coordinate projects that help the Great Work- the constant evolution of ourselves and the world around us.  

“Black” refers to the initial stage of Alchemy called Nigredo or the Blackening.  It is the destruction of the ego and the start of the Great Work of personal and global transformation.  It is a constant reminder to stay humble, present, and that we are all students.

“Stag” refers to Mark’s medicine name of “Loving Stag” and the spiritual medicine that stag provides, of being able to change directions quickly, adapt, balance, protection and gentleness, and the power of regeneration and the mystery that it brings.

“Alchemy” is all about change.  It is the only constant in the World.  Our ability to harness and work with Change in order to become better than who we are now is the mission and blessing of all sentient beings.
